Image Information:
Title:Lapeer Seventh-day Adventist Church School under construction
Description:Written on the back: "Built in 1947-8 and occupied by Jan 1, 1948. This is a fine building which was built by the pastor and the members. It includes a kitchen." Neil Hunt, who went to school here from 1st through 8th grade remembers the floor heated by hot water pipes. Church members told the pastor (Elder Moore) that while that kind of heat may work in California, it would not do in Michigan winters. After the first winter, cast iron radiators were added under the north facing windows. The kids really enjoyed the floor in sock feet.
