| Description: | Fred Benton (fourth from right) of St. Joseph, Michigan, and Irwin Hansen (sixth from right), of Hinsdale, Illinois, received $250 scholarships from Robert E. Firth, chairman of the Andrews University business administration department. Funds for the awards were provided on a matching basis by Andrews University and the Insurance Service of the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. The Insurance Service also gave a first prize of $100 to Hansen for the best paper written in the Principles of Insurance class taught by Wilson Trickett (far right). Second and third prizes of $75 each went to Benton and to Paul Ashton (second from right) of Troy, Michigan. Hansen, Benton, and Ashton were all graduate students in business at Andrews.
